Cleansing the Body, Cleansing the Mind








I do a self-designed detoxing cleanse annually. It's simple. I basically cut out everything from my diet that doctors usually advised against their patients. No carbs (no starch or sugar), no meat (seafood included), no caffeine, no alcohol. And when I say no carbs, I mean I make sure nothing I eat has any sugar, flour, corn starch and etc in the marinate, sauce and so forth. You would be surprised how difficult that is when dining out. Everything has sugar in it even where you least expect it. I prepared for my trip to Miami with said detoxing cleanse. I ate mostly salads, vegetables, quinoa, and tofu (or as my friend Anna calls it: rabbit patrol). It's an exhilarating experience and you finish feeling cleansed and refreshed.
